Calicanto is back from the turkish-portoguese tour with Hattusha, a project wholly devoted to Hittite culture and music.
The band is an orchestra of 45 musician, turkish musicians, classical music players and traditional music players, and some international special guests (from Hungary, Portugal, Italy). The italian side of the project is given by three musicians of Calicanto: Gabriele Coltri, Roberto Tombesi e Francesco Ganassin.
Hattusha has performed at the Kemal Kurdas Concert Hall in Ankara (Turkey), at the Stage Theatre Hall in Corum (Turkey) and at the Foundations Yard of St Miguel in Evora (Portugal). The orchestra (Askin Ensemble) has played musics written by Ertugrul Bayraktar on texts by Oguz Elbaz and has been directed by Ertug Korkmaz. Art director of Hattusha is Tamer Levent, and the Visual Director is Meltem Keskin Bayur.
